Pushrod Replacement

Do you have a sewer camera that is constantly giving you problems because of the pushrod? Or maybe, you do not have enough pushrod for certain jobs. Whatever the case is, I can offer you a cost effective solution. I will be using the Ridgid rM200 w/ the D2B drum as an example.

The D2B drum contains 165′ of pushrod.  I’ve come across many plumbers who own this particular model  that have had so many re-terminations to their pushrod that they are now left with 100′ or less.  When the time comes to shop around for a replacement cable, you will find that after tax you are looking at close to $2,000 dollars for a factory replacement. You would then, start the cycle of kinks and re-terminations over again.

Removed pushrod
Pushrod removed due to short length, kinks or broken fiberglass core inside the jacket.
Kinked Push cable
Bad kink causing a break in the connection for the LED’s or video and hindering the ability to push the cable.

Get a better quality push cable, in my opinion, for around half the price including installation. Cable replacement can be done for most brands. Even solid core wired pushrod shown below can be replaced and rewired.

The system turned out great and all parts were salvaged and reused in the replacement rebuild. If you are in need of a pushrod replacement or have any questions, please feel free to give us a call.
